About Me I love the intrigue of thrillers, especially conspiracies and religious prophecy, so I hope you will enjoy reading my books as much as I have writing them.
I was born in August 1966, after school I went to college to study Art 'A Level' and wanted to design book covers. Unfortunately back in October 1985, I had a serious car accident that left me wheelchair bound and a C5/6 tetraplegic. I contemplated then, maybe I should write a book. But in Stoke Mandeville Hospital, I struggled to pick up a pen, so it never entered my mind I would write or type again.
In a matter of moments from enjoying sport, taking my lovely golden retriever 'Taffy' walking on beaches and through woods and those silly things in life you take for granted became major obstacles. But one morning after crying all night I decided you have to get on with life and challenge yourself to do the best you can!
With the strong support of my family and friends I did manage to get stronger and believe in myself. They gave me more impetus to accomplish things, I learnt to drive again, went back to work, got married, then divorced(that's life!) Did water skiing, dry slope skiing, even appearing on TV in my favourite cookery show ‘Ready Steady, Cook’ with Ainsley Harriot. The first disabled person they have had on the show!.
But now after taking early retirement from work I write....

Reader's Reviews on 'Prophecy of Power':
The first part of chapter one was engaging and so interesting. I found the prose to be crisp, the clarity taking me smoothly through Jacob’s flashback, setting the ground for the novel.
The contrast in content of the next chapter jolted and grabbed the attention. compelling me to race to the next chapter.
Katonah sounds delightful with the few shops, woods, deer and discreet houses. This is excellent prose, a literary delight, with the subjects ranging from politics to religion worldwide. I loved the description of Jacob’s office, perhaps because it is similar to my study where I am as I write now. I was fascinated with the emphasis on the main world religions, with reference to myth and legend. I am eager to read any book on this subject, yours being one.
I really appreciated Chapter 3. and the Book of Revelation and the seven seals. Dr. Renton’s lecture on the seven trumpets was scintillating as he lectured on the powers through the ages culminating with the Anglo-American one. You made me want to look up Chap.22, verse 18-19.
This is quite extraordinary. Literary fiction at its best. The characters are so credible, the dialogue excellent, driving the plot forward. The structure of each chapter incorporated the perfect dramatic arch.
I wish you every success with this admirable work. Kathleen Ayres. West Sussex.
An intriguing and enjoyable read and even more so considering this is the work of a first time author. A real mix of fact, fiction, religion and history dealing with some thought provocing subjects. Well researched especially considering the author is British and writing from the view of a New York Rabbi. This thriller has the reader wanting more, Andrew has a real talent for engaging his audience through the characters in the book
Looking forward to the sequel. Jo Galaud, Hersham.
This was a fantastic read, very well thought out and well researched to bring in so much of today's world history. I was captivated by the storyline and found it easy to put into pictures and imagine the characters every move. I look forward to reading more of Andy Parker's work. Nicola Murray, Windsor.
Each of the characters in the book added their own personality making the book more interesting to read. My favourite off course was the simple but brave Jacob the Rabbi. Between religion and politics it brought together a debatable discussion of what is our world heading towards? Is the Prophecy of Power really to do with politics or a creation of another giant ruler that is waiting to show its powers of ruling the world into the iron age of greed, anger, lust, will there be another new creation of religion, where will the human life end up?
It is believed in some religions that the statue that resembles the 4 precious metals of gold, sliver, copper and iron has a role of time that plays the past, present and future this plays a significant role within the 4 life cycles that each living thing passes through time. It could be that the eight Prophecy of Power could be China or India? The sleeping giants needs to be awakened to shake the world into creating a new race or a scientific religion that has no control left as humans destroy the environment.
You have an excellent mind power of researching into the unknown, being creative and letting us experiencing and walking the journey of the unexpectness, I am hoping there will be a followup on this. Maya Amin, Uxbridge.
Positives: Very strong story, good research, believable characters, good structure to story, very good 1st effort at book writing, easy to read, conceivable as a film?
Negatives:Ending ran out of steam, unbelievable in places.
British Volunteer Book Club, Weybridge.
Very good read, once started unable to put down. Fast and very believable, great storyline. R.Newell, London.
The 'Prophecy of Power' was a thrill seekers read, fast paced and full of authentic information....never a dull moment. Harriet Wilson.
Interesting take on the prophecy in the book of Revelation with regard to former world powers, with one yet to come, although fictious, could it be true? Fascinating. Mr.T.E.Meazza, Wellingborough.
I agree in some areas more details could have been added to create an even greater book, but on the plus side for the author this has left me looking forward to the next one! The story line will inevitably compared to that of the Da Vinci Code, however it is a great read and there's nothing wrong being positively compared to a book that has sold millions and been made into a Hollywood blockbuster! E.A. Webb.
Great story. Fast paced and in some areas could have done to have been slowed down and more details added. Could easily have been a bigger book without losing any of the excitement, but all in all a great read and looking forward to the next one! J.Draper, Lincolnshire.
Really good read once i got started, I couldn't wait to see what happened next. The action rattled along at a good pace and the characters were interesting and believeable and I can't wait for the next installment! P.M. Terry.
I thoroughly enjoyed this book, the reader is absorbed from the start making it difficult to put down. The reader is drawn in and is sent racing along with the plot taking in different characters, faiths and destinations. The subject of religion let alone a Rabbi who doubts his faith should have proven a difficult route to follow but I was impressed with the amount of research Andrew must have made. The ending leads the reader to hope for a follow up into complex life of Jacob Droutman. I will be reading this book again (when I have it back from my friends) and will be waiting for the follow up to be released - so hurry up Andrew!
Nicky Moore.
